Kerry Kopp
Following her graduation from the UC Davis School of Veterinary Medicine in 1995, Dr. Kopp has provided care for a diverse population of animal patients across a wide range of veterinary settings. She is licensed in multiple states, including California, Maryland, Florida, and most recently Texas, and brings experience in both a specialty setting and emergency medicine.
Dr. Kopp’s career highlights include starting and owning a veterinary practice, managing zoo animal collections, serving as Medical Director for a county animal shelter, and providing veterinary care for motion picture (“movie”) animals. Her work has included both on-camera and behind-the-scenes roles as an animal advocate and veterinarian. Throughout her career, she has maintained a strong commitment to promoting and protecting the human–animal bond.
Dr. Kopp has a particular passion for fostering positive relationships between people and their animals, with a special interest in applied animal behavior. She incorporates this knowledge and experience into her clinical practice to support both patients and their families.
Outside of work, Dr. Kopp shares her home with her husband and an eclectic group of animals that includes dogs, cats, parrots, goats, and pigs. Chickens are coming soon, along with miniature donkeys.
