Dr. Hedges is residency trained in Emergency and Critical Care. Originally from Tennessee, Dr. Hedges received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in 2020. She then completed a rotating internship, followed by an emergency/critical care internship and residency, all at the University of Florida. She is joining the AVES family as her first position outside of residency. 

When Dr. Hedges isn’t working, she enjoys reading, crafting, and spending time with her soul dog, a scruffy muppet mix named Penny. She is thrilled to be joining AVES!
