Dr. Scibilia is a proud East Coaster! She completed her undergraduate studies from the University of Delaware in 2008, then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania in 2012. She completed a one year rotating internship in small animal medicine at Ocean State Veterinary Specialists in Rhode Island, then practiced as an emergency veterinarian in Massachusetts. Eventually a few too many blizzards drove her to seek warmer weather, and Dr. Scibilia moved to Austin in 2015 to join the team here at AVES. 

Despite her love for emergency medicine, Dr. Scibilia was drawn to experience other aspects of veterinary medicine. She explored Austin as a housecall veterinarian, and obtained certifications in acupuncture and rehabilitation. Dr. Scibilia has a special passion for helping senior pets get the most out of their golden years through multi-modal pain management and therapeutic exercise. She jumped at the opportunity to rejoin AVES as part of our Emergency Department.
