Dr. Austin graduated from Veterinary College at the University of Georgia in 1963.  His first year in practice was in rural NC where he treated dogs and cats in addition to farm animals, including horses, cows, pigs and goats.  In 1964 he moved to back to Virginia and practiced for 5 years in Arlington before opening Austin Vet. Clinic in Annandale in 1969.  He enjoys gardening, hiking scenic paths as well as spending time with his family and pet dog.
		Dr. Molly Herdic (Dr. Molly to everyone here) received her DVM from Michigan State University in 1994.  After 2 years of practice as a large animal vet in Montana and Vermont, Dr. Molly was trained in Avian and reptile medicine in a small animal practice in Vermont. Dr. Molly relocated to Fredericksburg, VA in 2001 and practiced full time in a few different area hospitals before beginning her own practice:  Dr. Molly's Avian/Exotic and House call practice. Dr. Molly also practices at Austin Vets. every Monday and it allows her to retain her surgical skill while her house call practice continues to grow.  When I am not here at the clinic, Fredericksburg, VA.  When I am not working you will find me spending time with my Fiance' and our 2 dogs and a cockatoo.  And soon we will start building on 9 wooded acres of land in Oak Grove, VA.
		Hi everyone!  My name is Deanna (Dee to everyone here) and I am the office manager here at the clinic.  I have been here since November 2001 and have loved every minute of it.  The clinic is my second home (unless you ask my husband, he would say the clinic is my first home).  I enjoy seeing everyone new and old to the clinic come in, and value the time spent with everyone.  I appreciate how everyone has made me feel like an extended part of their family.  I enjoy spending my free time with my Husband John (who also helps out a lot around here), our 3 dogs Buster, Morgan, Cali and our cat C.J. (who thinks he is a dog), family and friends.
		Hi!! My name is Jennie and I am a new addition here at the clinic.  I have taken over the receptionist position, so I am the smiling face you see at the front desk or the voice you here over the phone.  I spend my time out of work with my boyfriend Michael, my two dogs Nuggs and Tanner (austin vets honorary mascot) , and my family.  I love animals and am very excited to be on the team here at the clinic.
		Hi!  My name is Melanie and I have been working here since March 2005.  I am a vet assistant and receptionist.  I love spending time with the many dog and cats that come into the clinic.  In my spare time you will usually find me driving back and forth to North Carolina to house hunt with my Fiance' .  I love to spend time with my 2 dogs and my family.  I am also attending night classes at NoVA where I am working on a certificate in American Sign Language.
		Hello!  My name is Allison, and I one of the newest members to the clinic.  I have been here since November 2005.  My job is to assist the doctors in the exam room and also to take care of our boarders in the kennel.  When I am not at work I am at school.  I am a junior at Falls Church High School.  And in my free time away from school and work, I like to spend time with my big Sister Jessica and of our animals.
		Hi!!!  My name is Wayne and I am one of the new members here at the clinic.  I have been here since February 2006.  I am responsible for all of the care of our furry friends in our kennel and also one of the vet techs that helps in the exam room.  I am also the dental/surgical assistant to Dr. Austin and Dr. Molly.  In my free time I enjoy gourmet cooking, interior design and spending time with my friends and family.  I have also been working on home improvements to my home for the past 2 years.
